Carbon Fiber has been around since the late 1800s when inventor Thomas Edison used carbon filaments in his early light bulbs.  The carbon fiber in Edison's light bulbs were cellulose based materials from cotton and bamboo.  Today's carbon fiber is petroleum based.

In the 1950's high strength carbon fiber was discovered.  Carbon Fiber has many benefits one is it's strength.  Carbon Fiber has a higher tensile strength than steel.  Another benefit of carbon fiber is it's lightweight and it's resistance to stretching.   The use of carbon fiber has been a fixture in aviation and the space program for many years.

Carbon Fiber was voted one of he greatest engineering achievements of the 20th century by the National Academy of Engineering.

In the 1970 the automotive industry starting experimenting with carbon fiber.  The Ford Motor Company built a car out of carbon fiber in 1997.

Today cars competing in NASCAR and Formula 1 are comprised of carbon fiber composites to save weight and add strength.

Carbon fiber Mustang accessories have become a fixture of the late model Ford Mustang parts and accessory industry.  Carbon fiber accessories were once only available in your exotic cars such as Porche, Ferrari,  Lamborghini and  Aston Martin.  Now Mustang owners can purchase a wide variety of carbon fiber accessories and parts for their Mustang from hoods, front splitters, rockers panels, rear diffusers, fenders, trunk lids, plenum covers, dash kits and even center consoles.

The list of carbon fiber accessories for the late model Ford Mustang is growing rapidly.

The cost of carbon fiber has decreased in the last few years making it for affordable. The techniques used to apply carbon fiber has increased and now it's a matter of your imagination.  If you want something in carbon fiber for your Mustang it's probably available......just ask.

My question to you is has carbon fiber lost it's appeal?  When something is new everyone wants it but once it's been around for awhile it loses it's appeal or does it?

If you want to see our selection of Carbon Fiber Mustang Accessories  we carry a wide array to suite your taste.
