Locating the paint code of your Mustang is quite easy.

Open the driver's door and located in the door jam you will find the factory VIN plate. At the top of the plate will read MFD. By Ford Motor Co.

Below the bar code on the left you will see EXT PNT which stands for exterior paint. Directly to the right will be your paint code. In this example it's D3 for Torch Red.
